People like me always want to know what cakes there were 😄……lime, lemon and gin drizzle, chocolate fudge, Mary Berry’s fruitcake, shortbread, strawberry muffins (vegan recipe and the most talked about bake of the morning!), honey and almond cake (low sugar and gluten free), chocolate and raspberry roulade - nom, nom 🤗

What a wonderful morning was had with coffee, cakes, plants and happy chatter! There was plenty of animal chat and plant care chat and fingers crossed that all the lovely little plants flourish in people’s homes. The Raffle was drawn with folks very chuffed at their prizes - especially Sue Thompson who received the extra special first prize of original artwork by Mandy Austin. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and the many folk who couldn’t come this time but still donated to this fabulous cause. 🥰

It's been a great couple of weeks with the best bit being that my cousin Mandy (one of Dave and Jen's two daughters) has finished a fabulous painting and donated it to be raffled in aid of Blue Cross for Pets. She is so talented, showing and selling her paintings in local galleries and is as generous as she is gifted, so I'm not surprised that she has chosen to honour her Mum and Dad in this way and help the animals that they and she and her sister love so much. Thanks Mandy! Anyone who makes a donation (however small) and just drops me a line in the "contact" section on the top left of the page, will be entered in the Raffle on the 8th June.
